Booking.com adds its 500,000 property

Today Booking.com, the world leader in booking accommodation online and part of The Priceline Group (Nasdaq: PCLN), announces the addition of its 500,000 property – The Leonardo Hotel in Berlin.  This milestone gives Booking.com’s customers - be they families on a budget or someone travelling for business – even more variety and choice over where to stay.

Booking.com provides its customers with an unrivalled selection of accommodation types spanning all four corners of the globe –  in fact, it would now take 1,370 years for one person to stay in every single Booking.com property.  With properties ranging from small, family-run bed and breakfasts and executive apartments in major cities to treehouses in Costa Rica and a Ship in the Ice in Norway, there’s accommodation to suit every type of traveller.

Offering accommodation in 201 countries and 61,702 destinations ranging from Aabybro (Denmark) to Zlotów (Poland) over 625,000 room nights are booked on Booking.com each day.

"Reaching this significant milestone demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with a diverse range of accommodation wherever in the world they want to stay." said Gillian Tans, Chief Operating Officer for Booking.com. "Travellers from around the world are seeking out local, authentic experiences. By providing them with a variety of accommodation types – ranging from the traditional to the more unexpected – we’re granting them the freedom and flexibility to do just that.”

Tans continues, “There are few cities in the world as fun and welcoming as Berlin. The addition of the Leonardo Hotel to the Booking.com family takes us another step towards growing a diverse and authentic accommodation offering that includes some of the world’s must-visit cities.”
