The popularity of travelers looking for unique places to stay and memorable experiences continues to rise. Recent Booking.com research found that in 2018, more than one in five Americans (22%) intends to stay in a unique location, such as a castle or a treehouse. Globally, this goes up to over a third of travelers (37%)*.
