New research from global travel leader, Booking.com, has revealed that 78 percent of Australians put their furry friends first when booking a holiday, with almost half (40 percent) feeling guilty if they leave their pets behind.

Reflecting the huge variety of alternative accommodation options available on the site, this includes apartments, holiday homes, villas and resorts. With more than a quarter of its 28 million listings around the world being pet-friendly, travellers are spoilt for choice when looking to travel with their pets.
