New research from global travel leader, Booking.com, has revealed that 78 percent of Australians put their furry friends first when booking a holiday, with almost half (40 percent) feeling guilty if they leave their pets behind.

To help you have an amazing holiday whilst also keeping your beloved pets close by, Booking.com has collated a list of the top pet-friendly accommodation options around Australia. Reflecting the huge variety of alternative accommodation options available on the site, this includes apartments, holiday homes, villas and resorts. With more than a quarter of its 28 million listings around the world being pet-friendly, travellers are spoilt for choice when looking to travel with their pets.

Smith’s Lake House, NSW

If you fancy a weekend getaway with your pooch, Smith’s Lake House offers a pawfect outdoor escape. Just two and a half hours drive from Sydney and 20 minutes from Forster, you can take your dog kayaking, surfing and fishing!
