Make the Best of Bali Bestival

Good news for Kiwi festival fans - the award-winning British festival, Bestival, is heading to a much closer destination - Bali! From September 30th to October 1st, festival-goers will be treated to an abundance of music, vibrancy and mayhem, all within the stunning Garuda Winsu Kencana Cultural Park in Uluwatu.

Uluwatu is off the beaten track for most Bali travellers, making it the perfect location for this wacky festival. And, of course, a dreamy festival getaway calls for a dreamy place to lay your head. So, Booking.com has put together a guide to the top accommodations within a short drive of the GWK Park to help you do Bestival in style.

Banyan Tree Ungasan -  Jl. Melasti, Banjar Kelod Ungasan, 80364 Uluwatu, Bali

Private villas with marble bathrooms, multiple pools, massages and attentive staff - you couldn’t ask for more! Banyan Tree Ungasan provides the ultimate luxurious experience in an unbelievable setting. Get ready for gorgeous architecture and cliff top views at every turn. It’s a short twenty minutes stroll to High Cliff at Melasti Beach, where you can sit on the limestone outcrop with Insta-worthy views before wandering down to the quiet beach to enjoy a sunset. Banyan Tree Ungasan is the perfect place to unwind and recover after a debaucherous night at Bestival.

Alila Villas Ulutwatu -  Jl. Belimbing Sari, Br, Tambiyak Desa Pecatu, Uluwatu, Bali

If the thought of a 50m infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean steals your heart (duh, of course it does!), Alila Villas may just be the perfect spot for you. Nestled amongst Balinese cliffs, the villas are built with private pavilions, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the view in peace. With a personal butler service, spa, wellness centre and two of Uluwatu’s highest rated restaurants, you will be treated to the very best Uluwatu has to offer. What more could a tired festival-goer want?!

Rimba Jimbaran by Ayana -  Karang Mas Estate, Jalan Karang Mas Sejahtera, Jimbaran, Bali

Rimba is located right next door to a stunning beach, but with 12 outdoor pools and 19 dining options, we won’t judge if you just want to stay in and revel in all this magical place has to offer! With panoramic views of the tropical Balinese landscape, this 5-star resort has everything you could need and more. This is the ideal opportunity to get in some overdue relaxation, with gardens building walkways around pools in a setting that imitates the tranquillity of Bali’s rice terraces.

Antara Uluwatu - Jl Pemutih, Labuan Sait, Uluwatu, Bali

Antara Uluwatu sits right on the water’s edge, with infinity pools overlooking the ocean and lots of cosy little spots to sit, relax and take it all in. With a fitness centre, swim-up pool bar (we know you can’t resist a cheeky Bintang on a hot day), yoga lessons and a renowned day spa, you could be forgiven for never wanting to leave. But if you’re up for exploring the area, take a quick taxi to Suluban beach cave or walk down to the famous Padang Padang for a surfing lesson and the classic Bali beach experience.
