There’s no denying it, we all secretly harbor the desire to live and holiday like a celebrity. Who wouldn’t? Especially when you’re bombarded on social media with the latest snaps of your favorite film stars jet-setting around the globe.

To help you live like the rich and famous, Booking.com has been able to dig out six unique places to stay that were formerly occupied by celebrities. So even if you don’t have the same cash to splash as Scarlett Johansson or Brad Pitt, you can at least pretend like you do by booking a place to stay with a famous past.

Hacienda San Angel, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Located in Puerto Vallarta, Hacienda San Angel is an elegant boutique hotel with lush gardens and an open-air wedding chapel. The history of this one-of-a-kind hotel is filled with glamour and romance. Part of this beautiful property once belonged to the Oscar-nominated actor Richard Burton, who purchased the main villa as a Valentine’s Day gift to his wife, Suzy Miller. Today it offers guests the best of modern accommodation, with relaxing suites overlooking Banderas Bay. Enjoy this ancient and beautiful destination either by exploring the momentous grounds that are rich with a storied past, or by following the legendary cobblestone streets of the town.

The Villa Casa Casuarina, Miami Beach, USA

Also known as the former Versace Mansion, the stunning Villa Casa Casuarina was built in 1930 as an extravagant apartment building inspired by the Alcazar De Colin in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the oldest Viceregal residence in the western hemisphere. Later it was purchased by infamous Italian fashion designer, Gianni Versace, after he fell in love with the building while on a family vacation to Miami Beach. Today, this luxurious villa is as elegant as ever with rooms and suites furnished with custom Italian marble and oversized bathrooms for guests to enjoy. Stay in one of the rooms that world-famous celebrities used to sleep in as Versace’s guests and experience the unparalleled charm that this unique building has to offer.

Palazzo Margherita, Bernalda, Italy

Built in 1892 as a true 19th century palazzo, Palazzo Margherita is located in the charming Italian town of Bernalda. Francis Ford Coppola’s grandfather was born in this town, so in 2004 the famous American director purchased the property with a dream to transform it into a luxurious, authentically Italian boutique hotel. Today guests can book one of the lavish rooms and relax in the pristine swimming pool, courtyard or gardens, which are protected by the Italian Cultural Heritage Department.

GoldenEye, Oracabessa, Jamaica

Set in luscious gardens, GoldenEye features private beaches, hidden coves and a saltwater lagoon. This tropical property was Ian Fleming’s Jamaican retreat, and all fourteen James Bond novels were written here. James Bond’s birthplace features a selection of villas, beach huts and cottages, including beachfront and lagoon-front properties. Book a room and, who knows, maybe you’ll also be inspired to write your own globally-acclaimed spy novel.

The Charlie West Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA

Built in 1924 and once home to world famous actor, filmmaker and composer Charlie Chaplin, this historical hotel is centrally located in West Hollywood. This home away from home has hosted many famous movie stars throughout the years, including Marilyn Monroe, Gloria Swanson and Bette Davis. The hidden gem features luxurious and individually styled suites named after Hollywood stars, spacious living rooms and private patios.
