World Sleep Day is celebrated across the globe on March 18, an important day to highlight the importance of a good night’s sleep. According to Booking.com research, almost half (50%) of US travelers* say that sleeping in helps them disconnect from their day-to-day routine and feel rejuvenated. As things start to go back to a new kind of ‘normal’ in 2022, the return of an on-the-go lifestyle is also in sight, so taking time for true rest is essential for ensuring balanced health, even when traveling. Since there is no greater feeling than tucking into a comfortable  bed after a busy day, Booking.com has delved into it’s more than 27 million reported listings to present five stays around the globe with unique beds for a sleeping experience that dreams are made of. From unique car-shaped beds in Germany to a bed made of salt blocks in Bolivia, there is a bed type for every type of traveler (and sleeper!).

Who said that sleeping in a bed shaped like a car is only for kids? Whether a car enthusiast or not, waking up in the comfort of an actual restored car is sure to make for a memorable travel experience.
