Seven Spacious Stays to Reconnect with Loved Ones

Getting to spend quality time to reconnect with loved ones has always been a main reason for many people to travel. Our recent research conducted across five countries reveals that for more than a quarter (28%)* of travelers, their post-coronavirus travel motivation lies in the opportunity to share experiences with family or friends. In fact, as travel restrictions slowly begin to lift and it becomes safe to travel again, only 14%* plan to travel alone. Even before the global pandemic, more than 70%** of global travelers said traveling together as a family was one of their primary motivations to take a trip. Even though many of us may have spent a bit more time than we anticipated in close quarters with our families over the past few months, that desire to get away or reconnect with our nearest and dearest still remains - just perhaps with a bit more open space. With that in mind, we have delved into our more than 29 million reported listings and over 176 million verified guest reviews to present seven stunning family stays that are ideal for those seeking plenty of space to gather and reconnect, but still with the freedom to do their own thing.

Villa Mont Blanc, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France

As travel starts to become possible again, many people are opting to explore the stunning landscapes around them to enjoy some much needed fresh air. Located in the heart of the idyllic and mountainous Chamonix region, a popular ski resort area in eastern France that is also equally as pleasant in the summer, this villa provides plenty of space for the whole family. Featuring modern Scandinavian style furnishings, skylight windows and a cozy wood burning stove, this three bedroom accommodation offers breathtaking views of the iconic Mont Blanc and other surrounding alpine peaks. As nothing brings people together like sharing a good meal, the property’s fully equipped kitchen is perfect to prepare a big spread for the entire family.
