And with 34% of US travelers wanting to stay in a pet-friendly hotel on their next vacation,* Booking.com has delved into its more than 28 million listings in over 153,000 destinations around the world, 2.4 million of which are pet-friendly, to round up some of the best animal loving locations and pet-perfect properties. 

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and a dog walking dream. Treat yourself and your four-legged friend to a walk down the idyllic River Danube, the river that separates Buda from Pest. Once you arrive at the Chain Bridge, cross over to the district of Buda and here you can walk around the beautiful hills that offer breathtaking views of Pest, along with the famous Hungarian Parliament Building. While your furry friend relaxes at the apartment, visit one of Budapest’s popular cat cafés to enjoy a drink in the company of some cute kittens.

Soldiers Point, Australia

Situated in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, this charming suburb is surrounded by stunning waterfront, popular for fishing and boating. Many of the local caravan parks permit dogs, as well as numerous parks and beaches such as Bagnalls Beach, where your pooch can roam free. Many dog-friendly cafes are on offer too, making it easy for both you and your pet to enjoy a well deserved meal.
