Six Fashion Forward Destinations to Rediscover Your Fashion Sense

Prior to the global pandemic, Booking.com research shows that fashion was top of mind for many style savvy travelers with 39%* planning to include at least one day of shopping during the trips they were planning to take in 2020. However, during our unexpected time at home, many of our daily outfits have consisted of comfy pajama pants and a simple hoodie, all day and all night long. But as it becomes safe to travel again, it’s time to rediscover our fashion sense and switch the pajamas for something more stylish and inspiring.

Recent research conducted by Booking.com across five countries shows that a quarter (24%)** of travelers plan to take a city trip as their first trip post-Coronavirus. Instead of flocking to the well-known fashion capitals of the world, Booking.com is sharing six alternative must-visit fashion forward destinations that are highly endorsed by travelers for shopping and located in some of the world's most fashionable countries for those considering some much needed retail therapy as it becomes safe to travel again.

Cannes, France

Even though many well known global fashion brands originate from Paris, fashion forward travelers should not overlook stylish Cannes. Situated on the French Riviera, Cannes is a luxury resort town known for its annual festivals celebrating international films and creativity. But Cannes also offers some amazing options for those looking for a serious fashion fix. According to Booking.com travelers, some of the top endorsements for Cannes include shopping and luxury brand shopping. Upscale fashion boutiques can be found along the coast at the mainstreet Boulevard de la Croisette, while the top fashion brands can be found in Rue d’Antibes.

Where to stay: Located just a few steps away from Cannes’ main shopping streets La Croisette and Rue d’Antibes, travelers can enjoy an incredible stay at Hotel Verlaine. Each floor of the building has its own theme, including jungle theme and butterfly theme. The property is centrally located with attractions such as Palais des Festivals de Cannes and Les Princes Casino around the corner, making it easy for guests to explore the city by foot.
