Booking.com reveals where every-bunny is hopping this Easter!

The latest data* from Booking.com reveals where Aussies are looking to lock in their getaway over Easter this year. 

Not so surprising, Aussie’s are chasing the warmth this Easter with four out of the top ten destinations landing in Queensland, with the Gold Coast taking out the top spot, Cairns in fifth, Airlie Beach ninth, and Brisbane in tenth. 

Interesting to see the beautiful Airlie Beach rose 10 spots in 2022 from 19th in 2019 and with QLD borders well and truly open, Port Douglas and Noosa Heads also take out spots in the top 20 list. The appetite to explore QLD is well and truly there so getting hopping over that border for the long weekend.

Scanning the top 20 list, we’re looking to enjoy the local regions this Easter with Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Port Macquarie and the Lake Entrance making the list for NSW. Across the country Bussleton and Margaret River Town are seeing keen search traffic for Western Australia. However, the top cities are still in the top 10 so Aussies are hoping to cover all bases this Easter!

It looks as though Aussies are also looking to hop out of the country over the Easter break this year with our neighbouring countries Singapore, Indonesia and Hawaii taking the top spots for international searches.
