Booking.com Opens Third Australian Office in Brisbane

Melbourne, Australia – August 2016 - Booking.com, the world leader in booking accommodation online, has opened a new permanent office in Brisbane, in order to better support its Queensland accommodation partners and strengthen its business throughout the Sunshine State. Situated in the heart of Brisbane’s Queen St, this is the third office Booking.com has opened in Australia, with other locations in Sydney and Melbourne.

Booking.com’s Regional Manager for Oceania, Tracey Foxall, says the team will not only be responsible for providing close, on-the-ground support for the company’s thousands of Queensland property partners, but will also be tasked with increasing the number properties available to book throughout the State.

“Booking.com exists to connect travellers from all over the world with the biggest choice of incredible places to stay. With the opening of our new Brisbane office, we’re in a better position to introduce more properties in Queensland to the benefits of being on Booking.com while giving more options to travellers to choose from.

We are also thrilled to have a base nearer to our highly valued partners in Queensland and look forward to working even more closely with them.”

Continued Foxall, “Queensland is undoubtedly one of the most visited holiday destinations for Australians and for travellers from all over the world. It’s home to some of the best beaches, rainforests and other natural landmarks in the country, making it the obvious choice for holiday-makers.”

Having doubled the number of properties on its platform in just two years, Booking.com today offers more than one million distinct properties that have over 23 million bookable rooms worldwide. On any given day, more than a million people around the globe book a room on Booking.com.

With over 13,000 employees in 180+ offices around the world, the new Brisbane team will add to Booking.com’s ever expanding global network of accommodation experts.
