Booking.com appoints Melissa Ellison as new Area Manager for Australia

Booking.com has appointed Melissa Ellison as Area Manager for Australia.

Ellison has been part of the Booking.com team since 2017 when she started as Account Manager, rising up the ranks in the Sydney office to Key Account Manager for the Chains team in 2018.

With eight years of experience in the travel industry, in her new role Ellison will lead Booking.com’s strategic plan for travel recovery in Australia.

She said, “I have worked closely over the years with Booking.com partners big and small, managing day to day relationships with global and local businesses across Oceania. I look forward to growing these relationships even further, and liaising with key organisations within Australia’s tourism industry to support travel recovery as we navigate our way through the pandemic.”

Ellison recognises the importance of international tourism restarting in Australia, however will continue in the immediate and foreseeable future to focus on domestic travel and how best to support and help Booking.com’s partners recover and grow their business during these challenging times.

“As we start to see travel recover in Oceania, Booking.com remains committed to supporting everyone on their journey to getting back to travel, as it becomes safe to do so. With our mission to make it easier for everyone to experience the world, when the time is right to discover the places, cultures and experiences we’ve all been dreaming of, we will make sure you can find them on Booking.com.”
