#BookingYeah #million: Booking.com gives you the chance to win a week in the One-in-a-Million property of your choice

Booking.com marks the addition of its one millionth property with an epic competition to win your perfect stay from amongst unique apartments, five-star hotels, stunning vacation homes, treehouses, igloos, castles and more

TORONTO – AUGUST 8, 2016 Ever wished you could take your pick from all those incredible stays available across the world? Well now you can! Think fairytale castles, windswept lighthouses, coastal villas, city centre apartments and so much more, wherever in the world takes your fancy. Booking.com, the global leader in connecting travellers with the widest choice of incredible places to stay, is launching a campaign to give you and a friend the opportunity to spend a week living it up in any one of the million properties now available on the site. Which one? It’s your choice!

The contest is open to all Canadian residents[i] (excluding Quebec) and to enter, you need to only name your dream property on Booking.com and post a picture of it via your favourite social media channel (Facebook – by commenting under each campaign post, Twitter, Instagram) using both the hashtags #BookingYeah and #million. Entrants have two weeks from today to share their choice for the chance to win.

“What better way to mark the addition of our one millionth property than to throw our entire selection open to one lucky winner to spend a week wherever they choose on us?” says Gillian Tans, CEO of Booking.com. “Empowering travellers with diversity and choice has always been at the core of our mission, and as we continue to grow the number and diversity of accommodation options for our customers, we are delivering on our promise that no matter who you are or what you’re looking for in a place to stay when you travel, we’ve got that one-in-a-million stay that’s just right for you.”

The competition to determine the lucky winner will run from August 8th, 2016 until August 22nd, 2016 after which the winner will be picked at random. Full competition terms and conditions available here.

Taking the total properties available on Booking.com up to a million was the addition of the soon-to-open Greydon House, tucked away on the picturesque island of Nantucket, just 30 miles off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Now available for pre-bookings, this contemporary take on a cosy village inn joins the world’s most diverse array of unique accommodation options in over 30 different categories, including everything from boats, igloos, castles, and treehouses to apartments, villas, holiday homes and resorts.

Having doubled the number of properties on its platform in just two years, Booking.com today offers more than one million distinct properties that have over 23 million bookable rooms worldwide, including 7.2 million bookable rooms in homes, apartments, villas and other categories of unique places to stay. Over 70% of the accommodation options on Booking.com go beyond the traditional hotel, giving travellers the widest choice, with over one billion guests having stayed at a Booking.com property since the site was born. So what are you waiting for? Your one in a million is waiting for you!
