Europe/Amsterdam Partners with Eurovision Song Contest Legends to Create the Ultimate City Tour Guides

After over a year separated from the people, places and pastimes we love, the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 is an all-singing-all-dancing first step back to normality. With such a hiatus, the 2021 title will be more hotly contested than ever. While this year’s participants might be busy stitching sequins to their costumes or fine-tuning those dance routines ahead of the grand finale on 22nd May, the Official Travel Partner of Eurovision Song Contest 2021, is amping up the excitement, launching ‘Rival Tour Guides’ with past contestants.

The ‘Rival Tour Guides’ see Eurovision legends taking viewers on a tour of their home cities, with each guide providing unique insight for visitors to the city - and in true Eurovision Song Contest fashion, the legends will do their best to up-stage the other legends.

Working with Eurovision Song Contest legends from contests-past, Duncan James (UK) and ela. (Germany) showcase the best their hometowns London and Berlin have to offer. With each famous face sharing their recommendations of spots to sleep, soak in the culture or check out the live music scene.

Duncan James, who took to the Eurovision Song Contest stage in Dusseldorf in 2011 with Blue believes “I Can”show the best London has to offer. Duncan’s guide serves up picks for a cabaret not to be missed and reveals why he would recommend visitors to stay in East London for its arty vibe at The Hoxton in Shoreditch. Heading North to Camden, Duncan reflects on his musical history and Blue’s performances on the iconic stage of the Roundhouse. Duncan also takes in London’s iconic skyline, claiming those other European waterways can’t top the Thames.

ela., who competed in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with Elaiza, is exploring her hometown of Berlin with She shares the music studio that's inspired her throughout her career, visits the Hackescher Markt and takes viewers to her favorite spot to shop for the best fashion, which is at Garments Vintage Store. When it comes to where to stay, the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin gets top scores from ela.
