Booking.com Launches First-ever Australian Brand Campaign

AUSTRALIA - September 16, 2013 – Australia's largest and fastest growing online hotel booking service, Booking.com (http://www.booking.com), is unveiling a major brand launch across the country today, re-introducing Aussie travellers to a globally successful booking experience that is tried, tested and trusted by millions of accommodation bookers around the world.

Booking.com’s first-ever Australian brand campaign, Booking.yeah, launches online, across TV networks and in cinemas, offering an online travel solution at 345,000 properties around the world that prioritises the customer experience.

Booking.com’s Chief Marketing Officer Paul Hennessy said, “Every night more than one million guests stay in hotels and other accommodations booked on Booking.com. Whether travellers are seeking the vacation of a lifetime or an overnight business trip, Booking.com is the number one accommodation site for finding a home-away-from-home that meets their budget and surpasses their expectations.”

With more than 5.3 million visits a month, Booking.com was recently rated by Hitwise as Australia's “biggest and fastest growing” online travel agent.

“Yet despite our global position and domestic growth, the majority of Australians who travel have not tried Booking.com. Through this campaign, we’re hoping to introduce Australian travelers to that Booking.yeah moment: the feeling of pure delight when they open the door of the accommodation booked, see that they have got everything exactly right, and know that this is going to be an amazing trip.”

The Booking.yeah campaign transforms the word ‘booking’ from a simple transaction and company name into an adjective for those moments of delight that Booking.com uniquely delivers to its customers.

Booking.com offers the best prices at all of its 345,000 listed properties, covering more than 41,000 destinations in 185 countries, plus:

  • Over 24 million genuine reviews submitted by guests who booked their stay with Booking.com
  • Pay after you stay for almost all accommodations
  • Maximum flexibility for customers, meaning most accommodations can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival
  • 25 different property types—from hotels, apartments and villas to hostels, farm stays, bungalows and boats
  • A Booking.com customer service team available 24/7, 365 days per year in your language
  • Easy access from your desktop, tablet or mobile
  • More than 6,000 people in over 110 countries around the world dedicated to having guests experience the delight of getting it right
